Meals On Wheels

Our Meals On Wheels program provides a hot, home-delivered meal to seniors living within the city limits of Neenah and Menasha. Nutritious meals are delivered by a network of friendly volunteers Monday through Friday during the noon hour. Valley VNA coordinates the Meals On Wheels in partnership with the Neenah-Menasha Emergency Society and supported by a grant from ThedaCare Foundation-Neenah.

Advance Care Planning

Advance Care Planning is a way to ensure you receive the healthcare you want, at any time, in the event you are unable to make decisions for yourself. If you don’t have an Advance Care Plan, you are leaving decisions to medical providers who do not know you, or to family who may be struggling with emotions and fears at a difficult time. When you complete Advance Care Planning you are giving your family a gift by removing the burden of guessing what you would want, and providing peace in knowing your wishes are being followed. Advance Care Planning should begin when you turn 18 years old and may change through your life.

Advance Care Planning can be a challenging process for some.  At Valley VNA we have trained facilitators who can help you begin the process. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about Advance Care Planning. Call us at 920-727-5555.

Lyrics & Laughter

Research shows that music, especially with active participation, demonstrates physiological, emotional and social benefits to those with memory loss. Active participation stimulates the brain and also has some physical benefits. Music is a road to memories and helps those with dementia to engage and socialize in ways they normally cannot do.

Valley VNA collaborated with Dr. Susan McFadden of UW-Oshkosh to design, implement and evaluate the program, which is based off the United Kingdom Alzheimer Society’s program “Singing for the Brain.”

Look at our events page for the Lyrics & Laughter session date and times.
